Healing guide
Aftercare instructions
Proper aftercare is essential for beautiful, lasting results.
Your tattoo needs 2 to 4 weeks to fully heal. The way you care for it in the first few days makes all the difference.
01
Keep it wrapped
Leave the wrap on for 2 to 4 hours. If using second skin / saniderm, leave for 3 to 5 days.
02
Gentle wash
Fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water 2 to 3 times a day. Pat dry, never rub.
03
Moisturize
A thin layer of unscented lotion or tattoo balm 2 to 3x daily. Less is more.
04
Avoid sun & water
No direct sunlight, swimming, or soaking for at least 3 to 4 weeks.
05
Don't pick or scratch
Peeling is normal. Never pick flaking skin, it will pull out the ink.
06
Long-term care
Once healed, apply SPF 30+ whenever the tattoo is exposed.
Signs of infection: excessive redness, swelling, pus, or fever are not normal. Contact a medical professional immediately, and let us know.
